Polaris Industries Inc. the leading producer of off-road vehicles, today declared the addition of two new UTVs for sale to the Polaris RANGER UTV line of side-by-sides. The novel, three-passenger Polaris RANGER Diesel HST and Polaris RANGER Diesel HST Deluxe allow customers considering a functional side-by-side the most convenient and easy-to-use vehicles on the market.
“Polaris proceeds to innovate our product contributions to provide resolutions to a wide variety of customer needs,” said David Longren, vice chairman of Polaris’ Off-Road Division. “In producing the RANGER Diesel HST and RANGER Diesel HST Deluxe, we required to create vehicles that allowed maximum comfort and ease-of-use to provide to the needs of the agricultural or farm lifestyle customer.”
The initiation of the Polaris RANGER Diesel HST and HST Deluxe further exhibits Polaris’ promise to offer the most complete line of Polaris UTV to satisfy the needs of the work customer. The new Polaris RANGER vehicles give key features that are relevant to the agricultural and rural lifestyle customer such as diesel energy with a hydrostatic transmission, an industry elite treadle pedal, multi-link coil above De Dion rear suspension and, for the principal time on a Poalris RANGER vehicle, complete climate control which is conventional on the Polaris RANGER Diesel HST Deluxe.
At the heart of the new UTVs is a 24-horsepower YANMAR® diesel engine including a hydrostatic transmission which produces incredible torque and power to get the job completed. The transmission also highlights an engine braking system giving a smooth and even deceleration while providing a load for increased operator belief. For content traversing of virtually any terrain, filled or unloaded, the Polaris RANGER Diesel HST and RANGER Diesel HST Deluxe also star Polaris’ exclusive On-Demand True All-Wheel Drive which automatically involves all four wheels when more front traction is needed and returns back to two-wheel drive when the friction is no longer needed.
Unlike anything else in their category, the Polairs RANGER Diesel HST and Polaris RANGER Diesel HST Deluxe offer an innovative treadle pedal providing for travel in forward or reverse without changing gears or removing your hands off the wheel. This allows the operator to tackle the most troublesome jobs in less time with lower burnout. To work harder and sustained, the UTV for sale is equipped with a 90 amp alternator that produces best-in-class power for cold-weather starting, and give the driver the ability to power various ATV attachments, such as an ATV flail mower, at a time for increased productivity.
The multi-link coil over De Dion rear suspension gives the Polaris RANGER Diesel HST and Polaris RANGER Diesel HST Deluxe with superior ride quality for any work demand. The rear suspension maintains a 1,250-pound cargo space and minimizes suspension sag when completely loaded. It also has class-leading terrain clearance when trailering with its 2,000-pound towing capacity. An extensive length, pallet-sized rear dump crate, with gas-assist lift on Polaris RANGER Diesel HST and electric lift on the Polaris RANGER Diesel HST Deluxe, give ample space for pulling, and feature Polaris’ exclusive Lock & Ride® cargo mode for simple installation and elimination of accessories.
For operator comfort, the Polairs RANGER Diesel HST and Polaris RANGER Diesel HST Deluxe come fitted with Hydraulic Power Steering to reduce driver fatigue. Cab ergonomics such as angle steering with the 10-inches of movement, extra legroom, foot holds, larger seat width, and easy cab entry and egress deliver optimal driver and passenger comfort. For even more convenience no matter what the outside circumstances, the Polaris RANGER Diesel HST Deluxe also has a fully-enclosed, factory-installed cab plus climate control including heat, defrost and air con, and highlights 180-degree opening doors for easy entrance and exit. A full line of cab, accommodation and UTV protection accessories also are available for the Polaris UTVs to meet each customer’s unique requirements.
