FUN DURING THE HOLIDAYS
As the school year moves to a close, kids (and parents) search for fun, safe activities to enjoy during the vacation months. With nearly 20 years of expertise building the kids quad bike and the most extensive youth line-up in the off-road kids quad bikes for sale, Polaris offers a range of side-by-sides and all-terrain vehicle choices for kids who are looking to ride into the vacation season.
Scott Taylor is one of the product directors at Polaris Industries and supervises Polaris' youth off-road vehicle lineup. A parent himself, Scott knows the constant effort to find fun and safe activities that will have kids busy during the vacation months.
"We spend a tonne of time meeting with youngsters and parents when we are evolving our best kids ATV. We want to know what our consumers – and these young riders – are imagining. What do they like? What features are necessary? How can we make a vehicle more genuine?” said Scott. “The number one thing we learn from parents is safety. 'I want my kid to have fun - harmless fun.' It is about striking the right stability of providing enjoyable driving action, but also empowering parents to command the vehicle's abilities to match the skill ability of a young driver."
With that aim top of mind, Polaris has produced the industry's more comprehensive range of youth vehicle options, providing parents the power to select the model that is right for their kids age, size and experience level. The seats and driving wheels in our youth ACE®, RZR® and Polaris RANGER® models also are alterable, so a vehicle can grow with the kid. Scott and the Polaris Engineering partners also include an array of safety features into the youth models, such as seatbelts, Polaris ATV protection tethers, geofencing and speed-limiting capacities.
"All of our Kids ATVs are provided with front and rear lightening and some also have LED lights as standard equipment,” stated Scott. “Also, we are one of the few powersports corporations with EFI youth vehicles that allow for smooth, worry-free starts.”
Last year, Polaris employed Ride Command® technology to offer new safety features in our RANGER 150 EFI youth models. The Polaris RANGER 150 EFI was first to hit the market with protection technology like geofencing, passcode-protected safe start, and digital speed limiting.
When questioned about the answer, Scott shared, "the feedback from parents and grandparents has been unbelievable. They love being able to choose how fast the Polaris RANGER 150 vehicle can go within determined boundaries and establish a passcode for the vehicle to start. Being able to possess these controls at the tips of your fingers is game-changing in the realm of safety."
In addition to the numerous safety-focused features and technology, each kids quad bike issues with a DOT-certified helmet, with a safety-focused DVD that assists in educating young riders on safe-riding practices.
