1962
In the middle of rural Hampshire, Wessex began making grass cutting and forage devices.
1970’s
Wessex were the 1st to invent a range of scaled down compact tractor attachments to suit the new compact tractors from Japan.
1980’s
Wessex sharpened their focus on devices to meet the needs of landscapers and grounds preservation contractors.
1990’s
As ATV quad bike began to grow in fashionableness, Wessex produced a line-up of ATV quad attachments to suit.
2003
Broadwood International was founded as the distributor of quality accessories including the well-known SweepEx push brooms & SnowEx salt spreaders.
2008
Broadwood International procured Wessex Machinery – now a principal producer of professional grounds maintenance machinery.
2014
In line with the improved focus on the global distribution of the Wessex ProLine goods range, the company was renamed Wessex International. This corresponds with relocation to the current 50,000sqft facility in Andover, Hampshire.
